Dwarkamai Hair Saloon

We are located on Goods Shed Road in the Kachiguda area of Hyderabad. The shop is actually right at the backside of the railway station, so you can often hear the trains coming and going throughout the day. We are situated beside the Aqua Hotel, which is a big landmark for anyone trying to find us. It is a simple hair saloon for men, mostly catering to the local workers and people who are traveling through the station. The area is quite dusty because of all the transport activity, but I try to keep the shop as tidy as I can. I have three chairs and the usual mirrors. It’s a small space where we do haircuts and shaves from morning until late evening. Sometimes guys from the hotel next door come in for a quick trim. I’ve worked here for a long time and the routine is always the same. I start by sharpening the razors and getting the towels ready. There is no air conditioning, just a ceiling fan that hums all day. The noise from the Goods Shed Road can be loud with trucks, but we are used to it by now. It’s a basic place for a basic haircut. We don't have any fancy brochures or anything like that. People just walk in, sit down, get their hair cut, and go about their business. It is just honest work in a busy part of the city for the common man.
