Dinesh Furniture Chilkalguda

Our shop is located over in Manikeshwar Nagar, very close to the Osmania University campus. The address is 12-15-880/1/A. It is a good spot for a business, but it stays pretty busy with the students and the locals moving about. We have been making furniture here for quite some time now. You can usually smell the fresh wood shavings from the street before you even see us. It is a workshop first and a store second. We spend most of our daylight hours in the back dealing with the saws and the sandpaper. Dinesh started this because he always liked working with his hands. We don't use big automated machines for everything; a lot of the work is still done the old way with basic tools. The floor is always covered in a layer of sawdust no matter how many times we sweep it up. We make tables, chairs, and cupboards for the people living around Chilkalguda. Customers come in with their own rough ideas sometimes, and we try our best to figure out how to make it work for them. It is not always perfect, but it is solid stuff that lasts a long time. We do not have a glossy catalog for people to look at. You just look at what we currently have on the floor or you talk to us about what you need. The university area has a lot of energy, which we really like. Sometimes it’s a bit cramped in here with all the wood stacked up, but we manage.
