Down in Mallepally, near Jet Cafe, is where you’ll find Cuts & Colours Men. Our address is 12-1-943/1. If you see Ahmed Sewing Machine Co., we are right across from them. It’s a lively area. There is always someone walking by or a scooter honking. We start our day early. The shop smells like talcum powder and aftershave most of the time. We have the standard equipment. Nothing too new or flashy. It works for us. We get a lot of guys from the nearby streets. Some are students, some are older men who have lived here forever. We listen to their stories while we work. It’s a basic shop for hair cuts. Sometimes we do some beard work too. The mirrors have a few smudges here and there, but we try to keep them clean. The lighting is okay. It gets the job done. Mallepally is a place where everyone knows everyone. We fit right in. We don't have a fancy website or anything like that. People just know where we are because they pass by on their way to the market. Opposite the sewing machine shop, that’s the landmark we always tell people. We’ve been at this for some time now. Every day is pretty much the same, and we like it that way. Just a local spot for a quick cut and maybe a chat while you wait for your turn. It’s a simple life here.
