Continental Tools & Hardware

Our shop is over at 4-1-59A on Mahankali Street. If you’ve ever been down this way, you know how packed and busy it gets with people and traffic. There are shops everywhere and everyone is always in a hurry. We deal with tools and hardware mostly, so the place is full of shelves stacked high with boxes. Sometimes it takes a little while to find exactly what a customer is looking for because we carry so many small items. We have nuts, bolts, different kinds of wrenches, and things you wouldn't even think of. It’s dusty work, and the old ceiling fans are always humming to keep the air moving, especially in the heat. I usually sit near the front counter while the boys handle the heavy crates in the back or help people find things. We see a lot of the same faces, mostly contractors and local fix-it guys who need something for a job they're doing nearby. We don't have a big corporate office or anything. It’s just us and the inventory. Sometimes the street gets blocked by a cart or a delivery van, and we just have to wait it out. It’s just the daily routine here in the market. We open early because that’s when the workers are out looking for their supplies. We don't spend money on fancy signs or marketing stuff. Most people around here just know we're here. The walls could probably use some paint, but we’re too busy moving stock to worry.
