Jay Ambey Hardware is right in the middle of Osman Shai, specifically at 15-5-136 in the Gowli Guda area. If you are looking for us, we are in that lane right beside Balaji Sweets. You can usually smell the sweets being made while we are working on orders. It is a tight space with lots of items crammed onto the shelves. We have everything from door handles to various metal fittings. The lane can get pretty crowded, especially when deliveries are arriving. We have been here for a long time, and the shop is a bit of a maze of boxes and metal parts. People from the neighborhood come in for small things, and we also deal with bigger requests from local contractors. It is a lot of talking to people and trying to find exactly the right size of bolt or hinge they need. Sometimes we have to move three or four boxes just to get to one item in the back. It is just the two of us mostly, managing the counter and the stock. We stay busy from the time we open until the shutters go down at night. It is not a shiny new store, but it has what people need. Gowli Guda is a lively place to be, and we like being part of the daily rhythm here. You just have to watch your step in the narrow lane when you visit us.
