Chandra Hair Cutting Saloon

This is Chandra Hair Cutting Saloon. We have Shop No 1 in Dattratreya Colony. If you know the Asif Nagar area in Hyderabad, we are right in the lane opposite the Asif Nagar Compound. It is a quiet little corner of the colony. I opened this shop because there weren't many places nearby where a person could get a quick trim without going all the way to the main market. It is a one-room setup mostly. I keep a few chairs and some mirrors. I do the work myself along with one boy who helps with cleaning and washing. We don't have air conditioning, just a good ceiling fan that works hard. The neighborhood kids come here a lot. I’ve seen some of them grow up from their first haircut to when they are going to college. It makes me feel a bit old, but that’s life in Asif Nagar. We handle basic hair cutting and maybe a shave if someone asks. I don't use fancy chemicals or anything, just what is needed. The shop stays open pretty late most nights because people come after work. Sometimes we sit outside on the bench when there are no customers and just watch the traffic go by the compound lane. It’s not a big corporate business. It’s just me and my tools. If you’re around Dattratreya Colony, you’ll see the blue sign out front near the entrance.
