You can find us in Old Malakpet, right next to the Sai Baba Temple. We are in the lane that goes toward Yashodha Hospital. The shop number is 16-10-160. It's a small place but it's been here a long time now. Hyderabad is always growing and getting louder, but this part of Malakpet still feels like the old days. We do traditional hair cutting and shaves for the men around here. Usually, there’s a bit of a wait on Sunday mornings because everyone wants to look sharp for the start of the week. The temple bells ring often and we can hear them inside the shop while we work. It’s a peaceful spot despite all the traffic on the main road. We use old-style razors and keep them sharp ourselves. My father started this shop and I took it over later when he got old. We don't have fancy lights or anything like that. Just the basic chairs and the sound of scissors. Sometimes people stop by just to chat for a few minutes even if they don't need a haircut at all. The lane is narrow, so it's better if you walk or come on a bike instead of a car. We know most of our customers by name since they live just a few streets away. It's a simple life for us. We close up when it gets dark or when the last customer leaves. No fixed rules really. We just work until it is done.
