Bismi Boutique

Bismi Boutique is located right in Suraram Colony. We’ve been here for a while now, just doing our thing with clothes and tailoring. It’s a small shop, nothing too big or flashy. You’ll find us easily enough if you are around Suraram. We spend most of our days measuring fabrics and sitting at the sewing machines. It's usually just two or three of us here working away. We handle a lot of ladies' suits and blouses. Sometimes people bring in their own fabric and we just stitch it for them. Other times they look at what we have on the shelves. It’s a busy neighborhood, so there’s always someone popping in to ask about a repair or a new dress. The light inside isn’t the best on cloudy days, but we manage. We’ve got threads of every color you can imagine lined up on the walls. It’s a bit cramped when we have a lot of orders, but we make it work. We don’t really do any big marketing; word of mouth from the neighbors is how most people find us. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait a bit, but that’s just life in the colony. We like the people here. They’ve been good to us over the years. We keep it simple and just focus on getting the stitching right every day. It's a lot of sitting but we enjoy the chatting while we work on the orders.
