Bharat Hair Cutting Saloon

Bharat Hair Cutting Saloon has been sitting here in the New Lodge Building for quite some time now. If you know the Kattal Mandi area in Abids, you probably know where we are, tucked right behind the Anapurna Hotel. It’s a busy part of Hyderabad, and there’s always something going on outside the door. Our shop isn't anything fancy to look at from the street. We have the usual chairs, some old mirrors that have seen a lot of faces, and the sound of scissors going all day. Most people who come in are just locals living nearby or folks finishing up a meal at the hotel who realized they need a trim before heading home. We don’t have any big signs or loud music playing. It’s just a place where you can sit down for twenty minutes, get your hair cut or a quick shave, and maybe talk about the weather or how crowded the roads are getting these days. The fans hum along to keep the heat down, though in the middle of summer, it’s still pretty warm inside. We keep our tools clean and just do the work. There isn’t much more to it than that. We open up early and stay until the evening light fades away. If you’re walking through Abids and see us, that’s just us doing what we’ve always done. It’s a simple business for simple needs, nothing complicated about it at all.
