We are located at 15-8-90 in Feelkhana, which is right in the heart of the Begum Bazar area of Hyderabad. It is a lively neighborhood where everyone seems to be in a hurry. Our shop is filled with different kinds of fabrics and finished items, piled up on the racks. The walls are lined with mirrors that have seen better days, and the lighting is just enough to see the colors clearly. We aren't a big mall or a designer boutique with a lot of glass and chrome. This is a traditional clothing business where we handle things by hand. The floor is usually covered with bits of thread or scraps of cloth by the end of the day. We spend a lot of time helping people find the right match for whatever they are making. It gets quite cramped when more than three or four people come in at once, but we manage. The street outside is narrow, so we often hear the honking of bikes and the shouting of vendors. Sometimes the power goes out, and we just open the door wider to let in the natural light. We don't have a website or a fancy marketing plan. Most of our work is just talking to folks who walk in and showing them what we have on the shelves. It is hard work, but it keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday every single week.
