Seating World

If you head over to Road No 12 in Banjara Hills, we’re on the first floor of the Srida Anushka Pride building. Seating World is basically what the name says. We have chairs and sofas all over the place. It’s 8-2-700, and it’s usually quite full of inventory. We spend our time moving furniture around to show people how things look. It’s not a high-pressure sales environment. We mostly just let people sit down and see if they like the feel of a chair. Some days it’s just us dusting the surfaces and rearranging the floor. Banjara Hills is a busy spot, so we get a lot of different people walking through the door. We don’t have any fancy scripts for talking to customers. If a chair is comfortable, it usually sells itself. We keep the delivery schedules on a big white board in the back office. Sometimes the elevator in the building acts up, and we have to carry things up the stairs, which is quite a workout. We’ve been here long enough to know most of the other shop owners in the building. It’s a decent place to work, even if it gets a bit crowded with all the stock. We just focus on having enough variety so everyone finds something they can use at home or in their office. We keep some cold water in the fridge for anyone who stops by on a hot afternoon.
