About Anu Designer Sarees – Fashion & Trends in Hyderabad
I run this saree business from flat no 702 in the Hidden Seak part of Lodha Apartments in Sanath Nagar. It’s a bit different because it’s in a residential building rather than a shop on the street. It makes things a little more personal, I think. People usually call before they come up to see what I have. I have piles of sarees everywhere in the room. Some are for weddings and some are just nice ones for going to the temple or a party. It’s a lot of silk and cotton all mixed together. I spend a lot of my time checking the embroidery and making sure there are no loose threads. Since it’s my own place, I don’t have to worry about shop hours as much, but I’m usually working anyway. Sanath Nagar is a good area, and the Lodha apartments are easy for people to find once they get inside the gate. It’s a bit quiet up here on the seventh floor, which is nice for looking at fabrics without all the noise from the road. I started this because I always liked sarees and figured I might as well sell them. It’s not a big corporate thing, just me and my collection. Sometimes my friends come over and help me sort through the new stock. It’s a simple way to do business and I like it.
