Anu Beauty Parlour

Anu Beauty Parlour is located in Hyderrguda, over in the Himayat Nagar area. We are right near the Satya Kitchen Center. It’s a central part of Hyderabad, so there is always something going on outside. The parlour is a simple place where women can come to get their threading or a quick facial. I started this in a small room and it has stayed mostly the same over the years. We have a few chairs and a small area for washing hair. It’s not one of those expensive places in the malls. We keep our prices fair because our customers are working people from around the neighborhood. Sometimes it gets a bit chaotic when three ladies want their eyebrows done at the same time. We just tell them to have some water and wait a few minutes. The decor is just some simple curtains and some shelves for our creams and lotions. We don't do big advertisements. People just see the sign when they are going to the kitchen center or the shops nearby. It’s a friendly atmosphere where we talk about the news or what’s happening in the city. Working in Himayat Nagar means we see all sorts of people every day. It’s a busy life but we enjoy the company of our neighbors. We just keep things honest and do the work as it comes, one customer at a time. It’s been a good journey so far and we aren't planning to change.
