Maha Laxmi Collections

We’re located in Shop No. 1 of the Srinivasan Building in Ameerpet. If you know Ameerpet at all, you know how crowded it gets with all the students and the office workers walking around. Our shop is right in the thick of that crowd. We carry a whole range of different collections. It’s mostly stuff for women, but we have a bit of everything if you take the time to look through the piles. The shelves are packed pretty tight. Sometimes things fall over if you pull one item out too quickly. We spend a lot of our time tidying up the racks after the rush hours are over. It's usually just me and my sister running the whole thing. We don't have a fancy computer system for the sales. We just write everything down in a big ledger book we keep behind the counter. The building is a bit old, so the walls have some cracks here and there, but it’s sturdy enough for us. People come in looking for something to wear to a wedding or just for their daily work. We don't push people to buy things they don't need. They usually know what they want anyway. We get new stock every Tuesday, so that’s always our busiest day of the week. It takes us hours to unpack everything and get it sorted. We like being in Ameerpet because there’s always something happening outside the door.
