Alexander Men

Alexander Men is found at Door No 5-9-226/7 on Chirag Ali Lane in Abids. This is a very old and established area of the city, and our shop sits right opposite the lane where Chermas is located. Being opposite the Development Credit Bank also helps people find us easily. Abids has a certain feel to it, a bit more traditional and steady compared to the newer parts of Hyderabad. The shop itself has a bit of that old-school atmosphere. We have the standard setup for a men’s grooming place with heavy chairs and large mirrors that have seen many years of use. The floor is made of old stone and we sweep it constantly. It is usually a bit busy during the lunch hour when office workers from the nearby buildings come in for a quick trim or a shave. The lighting inside is a bit yellow, giving the place a warm feel when you walk in from the bright street. We don't have any fancy music playing, just the sound of the scissors and the hum of the ceiling fans. There is a small area for people to sit and wait, usually occupied by someone reading the morning paper. We have been operating here for a long time, just serving the people who work and shop in the Abids area. It is a regular job for us, and we like the familiarity of the lane.
