Shiva Nandi

Shiva Nandi is right at No. 15-9-391 in Afzalganj, directly opposite the Shankar Sher Hotel Complex. If you know the hotel, you can’t miss us. This part of the city is always crowded and there is a lot of movement on the streets. We’ve been here for quite some time, and we’ve seen shops come and go around us. Our place is quite simple inside. We keep our stock organized as best as we can, though space is always a bit tight. We don’t bother with much decoration; we just need the room for our goods. The days are usually spent talking to people who drop by and managing the deliveries that come through the narrow lanes. It can get a bit stressful when the traffic outside is blocked, which happens almost every day. We just take it as it comes. The staff here is like a small family. We eat our lunch together in the back room when things quiet down for a bit. We don't have a website or anything like that. People just know our address and show up when they need something. It’s an old-fashioned way of doing business, but it works for us. We focus on what we have in front of us and try to be helpful to the people who walk in. The noise from Afzalganj is something you stop hearing after a few years. It just becomes part of the day while we count our stock and wait for the evening rush.
