My Home Cement

This office for My Home Cement is located in the Srinagar Colony in Mellacheruvu. Specifically, we are operating out of Quarter Number 232, where the Deputy Manager for Process stays. It’s part of the larger company presence in the Nalgonda district of Andhra Pradesh, specifically in the Kodad area. Because we are situated within a residential colony for the workers, the environment is very tied to the plant's operations. You can usually hear the hum of the machinery in the distance. The office inside the quarters is a bit cramped because we have to fit a lot of files and a computer in a space meant for living. We spend most of the day coordinating the process side of things, making sure everything is running like it should at the cement plant. It’s a very practical, hands-on kind of job. People stop by all the time with questions about the shifts or the production numbers. It isn't a place where you'd see shiny glass walls or fancy carpets. Instead, it’s mostly just hard work and keeping track of the technical details. Living and working in the same colony means there isn't much of a commute, which is nice. We just focus on the daily output and solving whatever issues pop up during the process. There is always a layer of dust on everything, but that is expected in this line of work and we just get on with it.
