Chettinad Cements Ltd

Our office is located upstairs at 26/59 in Vasanthapet, Proddatur. It is right in the Kadapa district. G. Ramesh Kumar is the one who keeps things running here for Chettinad Cements Ltd. The stairs are a bit steep, so we get our exercise every time someone comes by or we have to head out. Proddatur is a busy place, and Vasanthapet always has something happening on the streets. We have a view of the road from the window, which is nice for people-watching when things get a bit slow. The work mostly involves coordinating cement loads and making sure the local construction projects have what they need. It is not a very big space, just a couple of rooms with the basic necessities. We have a lot of calendars on the wall to track the delivery dates. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon, so we just sit and talk until it comes back on. It’s a very informal atmosphere here. We know the regular drivers by name and they usually stop for a chat when they drop off papers. We don't have any big corporate manuals. We just know how the business works and we do our best to stay on top of the requests. It is a practical, no-nonsense kind of office where we focus on getting the tasks done without any unnecessary fuss or complicated systems. We usually keep some biscuits in the drawer for when the afternoon hunger hits.
