Hosmani Cement Products

Hosmani Cement Products is tucked away at number 7 in Prashant Colony over in the Vidya Nagar area. We have been making all sorts of things out of cement right here for a long time. It’s a quiet enough neighborhood but we stay busy with the casting and the mixing. You will see us out there in our work gear covered in gray dust most afternoons. We make things like pipes and blocks and whatever else people ask for that can be poured into a mold. Vidya Nagar has a lot of people moving in so there is always someone looking for cement items for their yards or houses. We don't have a big storefront or anything like that because we spend all our time in the back working the materials. It’s a local operation and we know most of the neighbors by name now. Sometimes the kids from the colony come by and watch us work for a bit before moving on. The work is heavy and it takes a lot of patience to wait for the cement to set just right especially when it is humid outside. We just take it one day at a time and try to get the orders done as they come in. It isn't a glamorous life but it keeps us busy and we like being part of the community here.
