New Cement Concrete Works

Our place, New Cement Concrete Works, is tucked away at Plot No.42 and 43, right behind the KSRTC Kalyan Mandap on Gokul Road. It’s a busy little corner of the world. Having the bus stand nearby means there’s always people moving around and plenty of noise from the main road. We spend most of our hours in the yard, working with the molds and making sure the cement mixes are just right. It’s physical work, and by the end of the day, we’re usually pretty tired and covered in grey dust. We don’t have a flashy storefront or a big reception area. If you come looking for us, you’ll likely find us in the back checking on the curing blocks. We’ve been at this location for a while, so we’ve seen how Gokul Road has changed over the years. The weather plays a big part in what we do—too much rain and everything slows down, too much heat and we have to keep the concrete wet so it doesn’t crack. It’s a balance we’ve learned by doing it every single day. We don't use any fancy talk to describe what we do. It’s just making concrete stuff for people who need it. We know the local builders and the folks living around here, and that’s enough for us. It's a plain, honest way to make a living behind the Mandap.
