Our spot is at 29 Rose Mary Lane in Howrah. If you’ve ever spent time in Howrah, you know how busy and crowded it can get, especially near the lanes that lead off the main roads. Rose Mary Lane has its own character, with a lot of small shops and people moving about at all hours. The office itself is in a sturdy old building. It’s not a very large space, so we’ve had to be clever with how we arrange the furniture. We have a couple of big wooden tables that we all share. It’s the kind of place where you can’t really help but know what everyone else is working on. The walls are painted a simple off-white, and we have a few fans that stay on all day to keep the air moving. It gets a bit dusty because of all the construction and traffic nearby, so we are always wiping down our screens. We usually grab tea from the vendor at the corner of the lane twice a day. There isn't a lot of room for a break area, so we usually just eat our lunch at our desks while chatting. It’s a very grounded, hardworking atmosphere. We don't have any fancy art on the walls or expensive office gadgets. It is just a plain room with good people doing their jobs. Getting here can be a bit of a scramble through the Howrah traffic, but once you’re inside, it’s our own little productive corner.
