Infotech Computer Academy

Uluberia R.S is where we are located, and it is a pretty busy spot with people coming and going from the station all day. Our place, Infotech Computer Academy, is just a simple set of rooms where we have the computers lined up on some old wooden tables. It’s not a high-tech looking office with glass walls or anything like that. We just have basic fans on the ceiling to keep the air moving because it gets quite stuffy in the afternoons. You can hear the trains pulling in and out from here, which is something you just get used to after a week or so. We spend most of our time helping people who want to learn how to use a keyboard or get around the internet. Some of the monitors are the old bulky ones, but they still work fine for what we need. We don't have a fancy reception desk. Usually, one of us is just sitting near the door to answer questions. The floor is just plain cement and we try to keep it swept, but there's always a bit of dust. It feels like a very local place because most of the students live just a few blocks away. We started out with only a couple of machines and slowly added more as we could afford them. It’s a bit cramped when all the seats are full, but nobody seems to mind much. We just do our best to keep everything running.
