Ocean Industries

Ocean Industries is located on Musalman Para Lane in Bentra. It is one of those narrow streets where you have to be careful when two bikes are trying to pass each other. We are quite close to Sarsawati School, so every afternoon the street fills up with kids and parents, making it hard to move for about half an hour. Our building is at 24/2. It’s an old structure that has seen better days, but it serves our purpose well enough. Inside, it smells like grease and metal. We have been here for a while and the neighbors all know us. We do various industrial tasks that keep us busy from early morning until the sun goes down. It’s noisy and messy work. We don't have a big sign or any bright lights. Most people find us because they’ve been told where we are by someone else in the neighborhood. The office part is just a small corner with a wooden desk and a calendar from three years ago that nobody ever took down. We drink a lot of tea to keep going. It is not a corporate setup by any means. It is just a local workshop where people work hard and go home tired. We like being part of this little corner of Bentra. The rain sometimes leaks through the roof near the back door, but we just put a bucket there.
