Lucky Traders

You can find Lucky Traders right inside the New H.I.T. Fish Market. It is exactly what you would expect from a market stall. It gets very loud and very busy, especially in the early hours of the morning when the fresh catch starts coming in. We don't have a fancy office with air conditioning. We work where the fish are. The floor is usually wet and there is always people shouting prices or moving crates around. We have been part of this market for a while. Our day starts while most people are still sleeping. We have to be here to see what the boats brought in and get things ready for our customers. There is no corporate structure here. It is just us, some ice, and the fish. We talk to the same people every day and try to keep things fair. It is a tough way to work sometimes because of the cold and the smell, but you get used to it. We don't spend money on advertising or big signs. People know where we are in the H.I.T. market. If the fish are good, people come back. If not, they don't. It’s a very simple way of doing business. We just try to get through the crates and head home once the market slows down in the afternoon. It is hard work, but it pays the bills and keeps us busy.
