Our place is in the village of Dakshin Jhapardah. If you’re coming by bus, we are very close to the 63 Bus Stand in Domjur. It’s a bit of a walk from the main road, but not too bad. The office is in a quiet area compared to the city, which we actually prefer. We have a few computers set up and a lot of technical books on the shelves. It’s mostly a place for us to focus and get work done without too many distractions. The neighbors are mostly families who have lived here for generations, so everyone knows each other. Sometimes a goat or a chicken wanders near the door, which is just life in Dakshin Jhapardah. We don’t have a fancy lobby or a receptionist. If the door is open, you just walk in and talk to whoever is sitting at the desk. We spend our days coding or fixing software issues for people. The power goes out sometimes, so we have a backup system that kicks in with a loud hum. We usually share a big pot of tea in the afternoon and talk about nothing in particular. It’s a slow-paced life outside, but inside we are always busy with something new. We like being based here in Domjur rather than in the middle of a big city. It feels more grounded and real. We just do our bit and keep things moving along as best as we can. It works for us.
