This is a very old part of Howrah, where the lanes are quite narrow and have been there for generations. It is a bit of a walk to get here from the main road. The humidity in this part of Bengal can be really intense, especially during the monsoon months. Our office is just a regular room in an older building. You can hear all the sounds of the neighborhood throughout the day. You might hear a neighbor's television, the stray dogs barking, or the bells from the temple that is nearby. It feels very much like a part of the local community. We don't have a big corporate structure or any complicated rules. It is just a small group of us here. We sit at our desks and handle the work as it comes in. Sometimes we end up having a long conversation over some puffed rice and tea in the late afternoon. It feels more like a way of life than just a standard job for us. Our address is in the 711104 area, right in the heart of the old town.
