Hotel Balaji

Down on 21 Mukhram Kanoria Road in Howrah, you’ll find our Hotel Balaji. It’s a crowded part of the 711101 area, full of shops and old buildings. We’ve been operating here for a while now. The streets are narrow and there is always a lot of activity right outside. We aren't a big chain hotel with hundreds of rooms. We are just a small establishment providing a place to stay for people visiting this part of the city. Usually, our guests are here for trade or small business deals in the local markets. The rooms are plain and we keep things as clean as possible given how dusty the city can be. We don't have a lot of staff, so you will often see the same two or three people doing everything from checking you in to bringing up water. It’s a very hands-on way to run a business. We don't have any of those fancy modern amenities like a gym or a swimming pool. People come here because they need a budget-friendly spot that is close to the commercial hubs of Howrah. Sometimes the electricity flickers when the grid is heavy, but we do what we can to keep things running. It’s an old-school way of doing things, but it works for us and the people who stay with us. We just keep the doors open and do our work every single day.
