Fortune Park Panchawati

We are out on the Kona Expressway in Bankara. It’s an interesting spot because we aren't right in the middle of the city noise of Kolkata, but we are right on a major route. You see a lot of trucks and big vehicles moving past all day long. The hotel itself has a bit more space than you’d find downtown. We have a lot of grass and open areas, which the kids like when families stay here. The staff mostly comes from the nearby areas around Howrah, so there’s a very local feel to how we talk and interact. Most of our days are spent keeping the grounds looking decent and making sure the rooms are ready for whoever pulls off the highway. It can be a bit of a trek to get into the main city, but people seem to like being a bit further out where it’s not so cramped. We have some regular events here, so the weekends can get a little loud with music or parties, but during the week, it’s mostly just quiet travelers. We just do our best to keep the place tidy and the food ready in the kitchen. It’s a big property, and there is always a fence that needs painting or a lightbulb that needs changing. We just take it one day at a time and try to stay helpful to anyone who stops by.
