Ambuja Cement Ltd

Our place is located at Bharat Co-Operative Housing Society over in Sankrail. If you know the Howrah area, you know how it gets with the traffic and the noise. We are at E4/12. It’s a quiet enough spot most days, which is nice for getting paperwork done for Ambuja Cement Ltd without too many distractions. We’ve been here in West Bengal for a good bit of time now. The office itself is just a regular room, nothing like those big glass buildings you see in the city. We have a lot of files stacked up on the shelves. Sometimes the humidity really gets to the paper, making everything feel a bit damp, but that’s just how it is here in this part of the country. Most of our day is spent talking to drivers or checking on where the next load is going. We aren’t doing anything revolutionary, just making sure the cement gets where it needs to go. Sometimes we sit outside on the steps for a bit when the weather isn’t too hot or rainy. There’s a small shop nearby where we get biscuits and cold drinks. It’s a simple life working here. People around the society know us by now and they’re friendly. We try to keep things moving without too much fuss. It gets a bit hectic during the monsoon when the roads get muddy, but we manage. You just learn to live with the rhythm of the place.
