One Minute Media House

If you look for Shop No 122 on Hoogly Station Road, that’s where you’ll find One Minute Media House. Being right near the station means there is always a crowd outside and the sound of trains is just part of the background music for us. The shop is pretty small, and we’ve squeezed in as much equipment as we can. It’s often a bit cramped when more than two people are inside at the same time. We do a lot of small media jobs, things that people need done quickly while they are passing through the station area. The floor gets dirty pretty fast with all the foot traffic from the road, so we’re always sweeping up. The light in the back flickers if the printer is running at the same time as the computer, but we’ve learned to live with it. It’s a busy part of Hoogly and there’s never a dull moment. Sometimes we have to shout over the noise of the announcements from the station platform. We don't have any fancy signs or a big lobby. It’s just a practical workspace where we get things done. Most of our day is spent handling files or fixing things that didn't print right the first time. It’s a bit of a squeeze but it's our spot and we’ve made it work for us.
