Camelia International School

Camelia International School is located in Halderdgri, along the GT Road in the Boinchi area of Hooghly. Our specific location is Boinchigram, with the pin code 712135. It is a bit of a distance from the main city centers, which gives us a quieter setting, though the GT Road always has some traffic passing by. The school sits on a nice piece of land with some green patches and trees around the building. Even though the word 'International' is in our name, we are a very practical, local school that serves the families in this part of Hooghly. The building is made of several blocks where the different classes are held. We have a playground that gets quite a lot of use during the midday break. The teachers mostly live in the surrounding towns and villages, so they understand the local way of life. We don’t have any high-priced marketing campaigns. People know us through word of mouth and by seeing the school as they drive along the road. The classrooms have the basic things needed for teaching, and we try to keep the place as clean as possible. In the rainy season, it can get quite wet around here, but we manage to keep the school running. It’s just a simple place for learning where we focus on the daily lessons and the well-being of the students who come here. We take things one day at a time and try to be a helpful part of this community.
