Government Home Science College

This is the Government Home Science College over on Salagame Road in Hassan. If you’re looking for Hemavathi Nagar, we’re right there. The building is a bit older, typical for a government spot, but it holds up. We have different departments here focusing on things like nutrition and home management. Students mostly come from nearby villages and the town itself. It’s a quiet campus for the most part, except when classes let out. We don’t have a flashy website or big ads. People just find us. The classrooms are basic, wooden benches and chalkboards, and the labs have the equipment needed for the practicals. The staff here spends a lot of time on paperwork and helping students with their forms. It’s a steady routine. Sometimes the electricity goes out, and we just wait it out. Being a government college means things take time, but we get there eventually. We’re part of the local community here in Hassan. You'll see students sitting under the trees during their breaks. We’ve been here a long time, and the address hasn't changed. It’s just a place for learning the basics and getting a degree. We try to keep the garden somewhat neat.
