Satnam Kids Play School

Satnam Kids Play School is located in New Dheerwali, which is a part of Jwalapur in Haridwar. It’s a place specifically for the very young ones who aren't quite ready for the big schools yet. The building is situated in a quiet lane compared to the main roads of Haridwar, which are always packed with pilgrims and tourists. We’ve tried to make the rooms at the New Dheerwali site bright, though the paint often gets scuffed by all the toys and the kids running around. Every morning, the parents drop off their toddlers, and there is usually a bit of crying until they get settled in with the blocks or the swings. We have a small outdoor area where they can run around for a bit before the sun gets too high. Haridwar has a lot of monkeys, so we always have to be careful about keeping the snacks inside and the gates closed tight. The staff spends their time cleaning up spilled water, helping with nap times, and teaching the alphabet. It’s a messy, loud, and busy environment, but that is just the nature of a play school. Most of the families live right here in Jwalapur, so we see the same faces every day at the gate. It’s not a complicated setup; we just provide a place for the local kids to be while their parents are at work or busy with chores.
