Shitla Hair Salon

You can find Shitla Hair Salon over at Shop No.2 and 3 in Mishra Market, right on Tehshil Road here in Dabra. We’ve been part of this market in Gwalior for a good while now. The shop is basically two small rooms joined together, filled with chairs, mirrors, and all our combs and scissors. It’s a simple place where the locals come to get a quick trim or a shave. On hot days, the ceiling fans are always spinning at full speed to keep everyone cool. We spend a lot of time talking to the shopkeepers next door when things are slow. Tehshil Road can get quite dusty with all the bikes and carts going by, so we have to wipe down the counters pretty often. There’s no fancy decorations here, just the stuff we need to do our work. We usually have a small TV in the corner playing the news or some show, but half the time we aren’t even watching it. Most of our regulars have been coming here for years, so we know exactly how they like their hair done without even asking. Sometimes the kids from the neighborhood pop in just to say hello. It’s a tight-knit spot in Mishra Market. We just keep the doors open and wait for whoever needs a haircut to walk in. It’s just how we run things day to day in Dabra for the folks around here.
