New Looks Hair Salon

Up here in Harishankar Puram, things are usually quiet until the weekend hits. New Looks Hair Salon is tucked into the F-21 spot. Gwalior can get dusty, so we spend a lot of time wiping down the glass and the counters. I have been cutting hair for years, and this shop is where I spend most of my day. There is a specific rhythm to the work. First customer shows up, we talk about the weather or the cricket score, and then the next one comes in. It is not a huge place, but it works for us. We have the usual stuff, scissors, clippers, and some sprays. The chairs are a bit old but they are comfortable enough for a quick cut. Most of our regulars live just a few streets away. They just walk over when they need a tidy up. Sometimes the power goes out for a bit, and we just wait it out in the dark or talk more. It is just a normal neighborhood shop. We do not have any big posters or bright lights outside. Just the name on the door so people know where to go. It is nice seeing the same people every month. You learn who likes a close shave and who wants to keep their hair long. It is just honest work in a busy part of Gwalior, keeping folks looking decent.
