If you go down Mela Road in the Thatipur area of Gwalior, you will see Jai Gurudav Hair Style. We are a small hair shop located in a very open part of the city. Since we are on Mela Road, things get very busy when there are festivals or events happening nearby at the fairgrounds. The rest of the time, it is a fairly quiet street with a lot of dust blowing around from the open spaces. Our shop is just a simple room with the necessary tools for cutting hair and grooming. We have a few chairs and the mirrors have some small cracks at the edges, but they still work. The people who come to us are mostly men from Thatipur who want a simple style. We don't use any big machines or expensive hair products, just the basic stuff that works. The heat in Gwalior can be very strong, so we usually keep the door half-closed during the afternoon to keep the sun out. We have a small water cooler in the corner for anyone who is thirsty. It is a very local place where we know most of our customers by their names. We don't have a big marketing plan or anything like that, we just open the shop in the morning and wait for people to drop by. It is just a regular way to make a living and we are happy to serve the people on Mela Road.
