Foodies Lounge

We set up Foodies Lounge on University Road in Govindpuri. Gwalior is a city with a lot of history, and this area near the university is always full of energy. We’ve got a modest space where people can come and hang out. It’s not a lounge in the fancy sense, just a place with some comfortable seating where you can eat. Being on University Road means we get a lot of students coming in between their classes. They usually have their books with them or are just looking for a break. We try to keep the atmosphere relaxed. It’s mostly just a few of us working here. We do the cooking, the serving, and the washing up. It’s a long day, but we like being around the university crowd. The traffic outside can be quite something during peak hours. We’ve been at this Govindpuri location for a while now. Sometimes the light in here isn't the best, and the furniture has seen better days, but it serves its purpose. We focus on getting the food out on time. We don't do any big marketing campaigns. Word of mouth from the students is usually how people find out about us. It’s a straightforward little spot. We just do our thing every day and hope people enjoy their meal before heading back to their studies or work. The walls are mostly bare, but we’re okay with that for now since we focus on the kitchen.
