Tirupati Steels

Tirupati Steels is tucked away in East India Gali, which is on S.J. Road in Athgaon. If you've ever been to Athgaon, you know how narrow the lanes are and how busy it stays. We’ve been selling steel here for many years. We stock things like TMT bars, angles, and various steel sections. It’s a very physical job. We have a small crew of guys who load the steel onto trucks or rickshaws. You have to be careful because steel is heavy and can be dangerous if you aren't paying attention. Our shop isn't fancy at all. The walls are stained and the floor is rough concrete, but it serves its purpose. We don't spend money on advertising or shiny signs. Most people find us through word of mouth or because they’ve been buying from us for decades. We drink a lot of tea and talk to the other shop owners in the Gali while we wait for deliveries. The traffic on S.J. Road can be a nightmare, especially when a big truck is trying to unload. We just have to be patient and wait our turn. It’s a traditional way of doing business. No websites, no social media, just honest trade. We know our regular customers by name and usually know exactly what they need before they even ask. It’s a busy, cramped, and noisy way to spend the day, but we like being part of the market here.
