Padmavati Steel Corporation

Our yard is on Krc Road in Kumarpara. We are right near the Kumar Nursing Home, so most people don't have a hard time finding us. Padmavati Steel Corporation is mostly about moving heavy metal around. We have stacks of steel beams, rods, and sheets piled up in the yard. It is a noisy place with the sounds of trucks loading and unloading all day long. The office is just a tiny room where we keep the books and take phone calls. It is usually dusty because of all the activity outside. We’ve been in Kumarpara for a long time and we know the area well. Since we are near Kumar Nursing Home, we often tell people to look for that landmark. Builders and contractors come to us when they need materials for their construction projects. We don't have a sales team. We just deal with people directly when they show up or call. The work is physically demanding and we are usually tired by the end of the shift. When it rains, the yard gets pretty messy, but we still have to get the orders out. It is a basic business without any frills. We buy the steel and then distribute it. It’s a part of the building trade here. We like being on Krc Road because it makes delivery easier. We aren't trying to change things, we are just providing the materials people need.
