Down on the South Bank in Miri Silpukhury, we have our setup for Calcom Cement India Ltd. It is a busy spot right by the water, and we are constantly moving bags of cement around. The air is often a bit heavy with dust, but that is just the nature of what we do. We are not a big corporate office with people in suits. Most of us are wearing work boots and have dust on our clothes by noon. We spend the day making sure the deliveries are on time and that the trucks can get through the mud when it rains. Miri Silpukhury is a good location for us because of the access to the local transport routes. We have a small office where we keep the records, but it is nothing special to look at. Just a desk, some chairs, and a lot of logbooks. We have been working at this site for a while and we have a routine that works for us. We do not use a lot of big words or have a fancy philosophy. We just make sure the cement gets to where it needs to be so people can build their houses and roads. It is tiring work and it can be pretty loud with the machinery going, but we are used to it. Calcom Cement India Ltd. is just a regular part of the industrial landscape here on the South Bank.
