Our office is tucked away in the Jayanagar area, right near Sixmile and Khanapara. It’s a busy part of the city, so getting a truck in and out during the day can be a bit of a challenge with the local traffic. We spend a lot of time on the phone coordinating with the plant and the drivers. The office is usually a bit cluttered with samples and delivery notes. It’s not the quietest place to work because the main road is right there, but we like being in the middle of things. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we just have to wait it out or work by the windows. We’ve got a small team here in Khanapara, mostly locals who know the shortcuts around Sixmile. We don't really have a big formal structure; if something needs doing, whoever is free just grabs a shovel or a pen and gets to it. The humidity can be tough on the paperwork, everything feels a bit damp during the monsoon. We keep the cement bags stacked high and covered up tight to protect them from the rain. People often drop by just to ask about prices or to see if we have stock available for their construction projects. It’s a straightforward way of doing things. We just try to keep the flow of materials steady and make sure our records match the inventory at the end of the day.
