Shiva Traders

Shiva Traders is located right by the Battalion Gate on Lokhra Road. If you know the Lal Ganesh area, we aren't hard to find. It’s a busy part of Kamrup district and there is always something going on outside our door. We deal with various goods and supplies, mostly helping out the folks who live and work around here. My family has been in this area for a long time, so setting up the business here felt natural. The post office is nearby too, which makes it easy for us to handle mail. Some mornings the trucks blocking the road make things a bit difficult, but we manage. Inside the shop, it’s a bit of a squeeze sometimes because we try to keep a lot of stuff on hand. We don’t have a website or anything like that. People just walk in or call us up on the phone when they need something. It’s more personal that way. I usually spend my afternoons checking the inventory and making sure we didn't miss anything. The weather can get quite hot in this part of town, so we keep a fan going all day. Dealing with local suppliers keeps us on our toes. Sometimes deliveries are late and customers have to wait, but most people understand how it is. It isn't a flashy business, just a regular trading shop doing what we can. We like being part of the Lokhra Road community.
