We operate out of Pace City - 1 in Sector 37. The full name on the gate is Khs Apparels Sourcing Pvt Ltd at Plot No 39. It’s a proper industrial sector, so you see a lot of people in uniforms and big trucks moving fabric rolls around all day. The building is functional. We have large tables for laying out garments and checking the stitching. It gets quite busy when a new shipment of fabric arrives. There’s always the sound of scissors or sewing machines humming in the background. We don't really do much in the way of marketing ourselves; the work just keeps us busy enough. The commute to this part of Gurgaon can be a bit of a slog, but once we’re inside the gates, it’s all about the clothes. We have stacks of patterns hanging on the walls and threads of every color you can think of. Sometimes the floor is covered in scraps of cloth by the end of the shift. The lighting is bright because we need to see the details of the apparel we are handling. It’s not a place for lounging. Everyone has a specific task, from the sourcing guys to the people checking the final pieces. We have a small area where we keep the samples on hangers. It’s a bit crowded, but it’s an honest day’s work in a part of town meant for making things.
