Maxi & Co

Maxi & Co is tucked away at F-51 on Muradi Road, right in the Jamia Nagar area near the Delhi G P O. It is one of those places that has been around long enough that the locals just know us by sight. The street outside is always packed with people and rickshaws, so it can be a bit of a squeeze to get to our front door. Inside, the space is a bit cramped because we have a lot of stuff stored on the shelves. We do various kinds of work here, mostly just handling the day-to-day needs of people who stop in. It is not a polished showroom or anything like that. The walls could probably use a new coat of paint, and the desk is cluttered with old ledgers and pens that barely work. We like it that way because it feels like home. My brother and I usually handle the customers ourselves. We talk about the weather or the local news while we work. Sometimes the electricity goes out for an hour or two, so we just sit outside on the stools and wait for it to come back. We don't have a big staff or a fancy website. It is just a simple business on a busy road where we try to be helpful to whoever walks in. We have seen the neighborhood change a lot over the years, but our little corner remains pretty much the same as it always was.
