Uppals

Down in Sirohi, Rajasthan, we have our place called Uppals. It is located in an area where things move a bit slower than the big cities like Jaipur or Delhi, and we actually prefer it that way. Most of the people working here are local, and we have known each other for quite some time. The office is a simple building where we handle our daily business, mostly dealing with customers from the surrounding areas. We don't have a big fancy lobby or any of those corporate distractions. It is just desks, chairs, and a lot of registers. The heat in Rajasthan can be pretty tough during the summer months, so we spend a lot of time making sure the coolers are running and there is enough cold water for everyone. Our work keeps us busy enough that the days go by pretty fast. We don't spend much time on fancy talk; we just listen to what people need and see if we can help them out with their orders. Sirohi is a quiet place and our business fits right in with the local community. Sometimes the internet is a bit slow or the power goes out, but we just work around it. It is an honest living and we have been at this for a while now, just being a part of the local scenery in this corner of the state.
