Swami General Store

We are located on Palam Vihar Road, right across from where they hold the Budh Bazar. That means Wednesdays are our busiest days because the whole street fills up with people and vendors. The rest of the week is a bit quieter, which gives us time to restock and clean up the shop. We started Swami General Store to serve the families in Sheetla Colony. We sell all the usual stuff—spices, flour, snacks, and toiletries. It’s not a polished place with shiny floors. We have old wooden shelves that have been here for years and they hold a lot of weight. Sometimes the delivery guys leave boxes in the middle of the floor, and I have to move them quickly so people don't trip. I handle most of the work myself, with some help from family. We know who likes which brand of cooking oil and who always forgets to buy matches. It’s a small-scale operation, just a local shop for local people. We don't do any advertising; people just know we are here. The Palam Vihar road is always busy, so there's a lot of noise from the cars and bikes. We keep the doors open to catch whatever breeze we can. It’s a simple, practical way to make a living, and we’re happy to be part of the daily routine for our neighbors here. We’re always here if you need anything basic for your house.
