Our shop, Sterling Cnc Engineers Pvt. Ltd., is situated at the 2nd Mile Stone on Basni Road, right in the Vikas Nagar area. It is a busy spot, and there’s always something happening on the road outside. Inside, we have our CNC machines lined up. They make a specific kind of whirring sound that you get used to after a few days. We aren't a massive factory with thousands of employees. It’s a more personal operation where we all know each other’s names. We spend a lot of time looking at screens and setting up the tools for the next run. It requires a bit of patience because if you get the code wrong, the whole piece is ruined. The floor is usually pretty clean because CNC work isn't as messy as old-school grinding, but there’s still plenty of coolant and metal chips around. We don't have a polished corporate image. Our office is just a small room with a couple of chairs and a lot of old binders. People from the neighborhood often drop by for small jobs or just to see how things are going. We’ve been on Basni Road for quite some time now, and we’ve become a part of the local landscape. We don't do any big advertising campaigns. Most of our work comes from people who know we’ve been here at the 2nd Mile Stone for years. We just keep the machines running.
