We have been here at number 452, Verranwali Cottage in Sector-14 for a while now. It’s a busy part of Gurgaon, especially in the mornings when everyone is heading out to their jobs. Spencer'S Retail Ltd. isn't a massive flashy place; it’s just where we work every day. Usually, the first thing we do is check if the lights are working and see what needs to be moved around the floor. The shelves don't fill themselves, so someone is always lugging boxes from the back room. It gets pretty hot in the summer here, but we just keep the fans going and get on with the task. People come in looking for all sorts of things, and we try to remember where everything is. Sometimes the delivery truck is late because of the heavy traffic on the main road, which happens more often than you’d think. We spend a lot of time just talking about what needs to be ordered for next week. It’s not always organized perfectly, and there’s usually some paperwork piled up on the small desk in the corner. My brother helps out sometimes when things get extra busy. We don’t have any big corporate speeches or anything like that. We just open the doors, sweep the floor, and wait for the regulars to stop by. It’s a simple living. Sector-14 is a decent area to be in, and we’ve gotten used to the noise from the street. We just keep our heads down and do the work.
