Savver Apparel

Savver Apparel is based out of B-4/9 in DLF Phase-I, which is part of the Qutab Enclave area. It’s a busy spot with lots of construction always happening nearby. Our office is basically filled with rolls of cloth and racks of finished garments. You have to be careful where you step because there’s usually a stray needle or a bit of thread on the carpet. We do a lot of garment work, so the hum of sewing machines is the background noise we live with every day. The light coming through the front windows is usually pretty good for checking colors, which is important when you're dealing with fabrics. We don’t have a fancy showroom; we just show people what we’re working on right there at the cutting tables. My desk is tucked in the corner behind a mountain of cardboard boxes. It gets pretty chaotic when a big order is due, and we end up staying late, eating snacks from the vending machine downstairs. The landlord is a decent guy who lets us use the extra space in the hallway if we have a massive shipment going out. It’s a bit cramped, and the air smells like new cotton and steam from the irons. We’ve been in this unit for a few years now, and we’ve finally figured out how to fit everything in without tripping over each other.
