You can find us over at Plot No. 13 in Sector-34, which is right near the busy Hero Honda Chowk. It is a very active area, as anyone who has to drive through this part of town knows well. The traffic at the chowk can be a real nightmare during the evening rush, but being centrally located like this helps a lot with getting our goods moved out. Inside the walls of Samast Clothing, it is mostly the constant sound of machines and people talking over the steady hum. We have rolls of different fabrics stacked up in the corners and paper patterns pinned all over the walls. It is a working floor, not some fancy showroom for guests. We do not have much in the way of decoration or art. We just focus on the stitching and making sure the final counts are right before packing. It gets incredibly hot in the summer months, even with all the big fans going at full blast. We have had some of our tailors working with us for many years now. They know the rhythm of the place better than anyone. We are not some massive corporation with thousands of employees. We are a medium-sized setup where everyone knows everyone else’s name. Sometimes things go wrong, like a machine breaking down or a shipment being late, and we just deal with it as a group. It is a bit messy and loud, but that is the job.
